Thoughts Before Takeoff

The Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Card doesn’t offer too much for a company to be upset about. Instead, it offers companies great earning potential from the get-go. Companies earn double miles when booking directly with Delta and single miles for all other purchases.  Miles which apply to travel rewards, vacations from Delta Vacation, or flights with SkyTeam partner airlines.

New account holders can also earn 60,000 bonus miles when they spend just $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of opening their account. The miles come much quicker with the addition of employee cards, which can help speed up the rewards-earning process significantly.

The card offers companies are more than just substantial miles-earning potential, however. Cardholders get priority boarding on Delta flights, a complimentary first checked bag with Delta, exclusive in-flight savings, and the unique ability to purchase Sky Club lounge access for a fee of just $29 per person when they use their card to pay the entrance fee.

If there are any negatives to the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Card, it is the lack of an introductory haul of MQMs as are available with the Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card. This nit-pick, however, is just that: a nit-pick, as the Gold card has a significantly lower price tag which is waived for the first year of account membership.
