  • No Intro APR: The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard does not offer any introductory APR benefits for new members.

Thoughts Before Takeoff

The Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Card is a reliable airline card for those who live in and around the North American west coast or in Hawaii. For frequent Pacific travelers, the ability to earn triple miles when flying with Hawaiian Airlines is a great perk. The chance to earn miles with partner airlines scattered across the Pacific Rim is another great benefit – as are the generous companion discounts on offer.

New cardholders receive one-time 50% discount on companion fares between the west coast and Hawaii. They also get a $100 companion discount each year of card membership. These impressive rewards are a bonus to the introductory 60,000 miles on offer when new cardholders spend $2,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of opening an account.

Redeeming miles with the HawaiianMiles program is easy and convenient. Book flights with Hawaiian Airlines (with flights starting as lows as 7,500 miles), or with partner carriers. Additionally, miles can be sued for rental cars and hotels from some of the biggest names in the industry. Or they are convertable to retail purchases or as gifts to friends, family, or charities.

Overall, the Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite  Is a very good card – and one that should be carefully considered. If, however, you aren’t a frequent traveler across the Pacific, there are better airline rewards cards available. For these individuals, choosing a co-branded card with a major airline that partners with an Alliance of carriers, such as Oneworld, Star Alliance, or SkyTeam may provide a more global wealth of reward possibilities.
